What to Expect with P90X3

Expect the unexpected. Tony Horton is one crazy fitness guru! If you “brought it” in any of the other P90X versions, you better get ready to “Bring it” again! If your new to P90X altogether, thats ok too! As Im typing this, P90X3 still hasn’t hit the market…but I’ve got a few ideas of what I think X3 is going to be like.

This is purely a guess, so if Im wrong don’t hold me to it! Since the release of FOCUS T25 Shaun T’s 25 minute a day, 5 days a week fitness program that’s great for anyone of any fitness level (Im currently in week 7 of this 10 week program and its AWESOME) I think that P90X3 is going to be the next competing workout. Through research and common sense, its been recognized that a lot of people can’t workout for a long period of time 6 days a week. Not that they don’t want to, or get in shape, but they are just truly busy people. I think Tony is going to create P90X3 for those people like Shaun T did with T25. You see, T25 uses very little equipment. Resistance Bands (that come free with the FOCUS T25 Challenge Pack) or dumbbells if you prefer those instead of bands,  in only a handful of the workouts. With P90X and P90X2 you need bands and/or dumbbells and a pull up bar at minimum. In all the group workouts I’ve done recently with Tony he has given new moves that you can do that will get you similar results with only the use of your body. To me, Tony is not a big Cardio style guy. Yes he has plenty of cardio workouts, so I’ll be surprised if you don’t need some sort of equipment in X3 but again thats just a guess.

So lets say Im wrong with the first guess. My next assumption for X3 would still be a workout thats less than an hour. P90X was the first of the series and will get you completely ripped and in great shape. You’re able to perform as an athlete, or at least close to it. X2 focuses on speed, balance and agility. Again really honing in on those athletic moves. So I feel like X3 will still follow that same outline, but in less time. Tony Horton is all about creating his workouts to be functional. Meaning simple moves based on the bodies everyday functions. Walking, balance, playing with your kids, yard work or physical functions of your job. Im sure bands and dumbbells will be an option in X3. Realistically you can take bands anywhere if you travel a lot and you can do so many moves with it, even simulate a pull-up.

What will come with P90X3

I can just about guarantee it will come with an awesome meal planner, as all of the Beachbody workouts do, of course a daily workout schedule, and if there is equipment, Im sure resistant bands will come with it also. You may have to purchase the P90X3 Challenge Pack, in order to get the bands for free, again if bands are needed. Challenge Packs are always your best buy with any Beachbody workout anyway. Challenge Packs always come with the entire workout program and your first monthly supply of Shakeology. If you’re not familiar with, I would take a moment to do so. If your going to invest in a workout, you need to invest in nutrition! Shakeology has all that the body needs in a single meal. Tony recommends daily use of it in all his workouts, as does Shaun T, Chalene Johnson, Debbie Siebers, and all the other Trainers at Beachbody. The best part is you end up saving about 30% off the price of the workouts and Shakeology when you get them together. Its just a no brainer to me. Shakeology has changed my life, along with the awesome workouts Beachbody provides!

How Much Protein Should I Take?

Category : Uncategorized · No Comments · by Jul 12th, 2013

I took this article from Beachbody because it pretty much answers the question on protein. Instead of trying to type all this information out in my own words I just decided to give you the facts as they came from Beachbody. That’s where I have learned most of what I know anyway. I hope this helps you to understand a little more about protein and what it does for your body!

Ask the Expert: How Much Protein Do You Need?
By Denis Faye – Original source for this article can be found at:

What’s with all the obsessing over protein lately? It seems like half the western world thinks too much protein will destroy their kidneys, make them pee ammonia, and rot their insides. The other half shovel down tons of the stuff, believing massive protein consumption is the only path to achieving epic hugeness.

There’s a thin thread of truth to both of these assumptions, but for the most part they’re oversimplifications. Let’s set the record straight.

What is protein?

Protein is made up of amino acids, the body’s primary building blocks. An example of a protein shake is isagenix cleanse day. Muscles, bones, skin, internal organs, and enzymes—and much more—are all made of protein. Protein also regulates fluids and pH.

For your body to function at its best, it needs 20 different amino acids, 11 of those your body makes. The other nine—known as “essential amino acids”—come from your diet. (There used to be eight, but it was recently discovered that adults can’t synthesize histidine.) Any protein that contains all nine essential amino acids in adequate levels is called a “complete protein.”

Complete proteins are important because amino acids work as a team. If you’re low on one essential amino acid, the rest of them can’t do their jobs at an optimal level.

How do I know if my diet contains all nine essential amino acids?

Art3_riceandbeans_165The easy answer—and some of you aren’t going to like it—is to eat animal products, that is the best option. Just like us, animals are made of protein, including the nine essentials. (We’re made of them too, technically, but we need to continually replenish them via diet.)

Luckily for those of us who aren’t into the whole “animal hostility” thing, there are plenty of complete protein sources out there that are plant based. Hemp and soy contain all nine essential amino acids. And if you’re wondering about CBD and fitness, a very famous form of Hemp used for consumption comes in the form of an extract called CBD oil, of which, you can get to know its benefits from And if that piques your interest, then you can buy weed online canada and include CBD in your diet. You can also eat a combination of legumes (beans and peas) and grains to get all the essential amino acids. The classic example of this is rice and beans. (For the record, you don’t need to eat them together. Just get them both at some point during the day.)

Of course, there’s also the middle road. Eggs and dairy are both good complete protein sources.

But, what’s the best source of protein?

Art3_eggs_165From a dietary perspective, any complete protein will get the job done. It’s what comeswith the protein that you need to consider.

Eggs are a perfect example. Egg whites are about the purest source of protein you’ll find in nature. No fat and minimal carbs. (Very few vitamins or minerals though, if you’re keeping score.) Sometimes, that’s pretty useful. You’ll find egg whites in the P90X® and INSANITY® Nutrition Plans because we’re trying to target exact macronutrient amounts.

The yolk, however, changes the game considerably. There’s a little protein in yolks, but they’re mostly fat—and they’re loaded with micronutrients. So if you’re looking for the maximum health benefit, your best bet is to eat the whole egg. But when you do that, it’s important to note that you’re getting a protein and a fat source.

In fact, most animal products will have a balance of fat and protein—and some of that fat is super-valuable. Fish, particularly salmon, anchovies, and sardines, are loaded with good, essential omega-3 fatty acids.

Plant-based protein tends to go the opposite direction. They’re loaded with carbs. That’s why a high-protein, vegan diet is almost impossible unless you want to fill up on isolated protein powder the whole day. I don’t know about you, but I prefer getting most of my nutrition from real food, as opposed to a bunch of tubs.

Whatever. What proteins should I eat to maximize my workout?

Hold on, tiger, I was getting to that. When you get into sports nutrition, choosing specific sources of protein matters more. In fact, you’re generally better off looking to supplements as opposed to whole foods.

When considering sports performance, dairy cows don’t generally come to mind (unless you’re a cowboy or you’re just weird), but whey and casein—the two proteins derived from milk—are terrific supplements.

Whey protein is the fastest absorbing, making it great for quickly delivering protein into muscles after a workout so they can begin the recovery process. Before bed, casein is best. Because your muscles absorb casein slowly, it will feed them all night long. While the musclehead theory that the body catabolizes muscle in sleep unless you eat protein before bed is silly, current research shows that a little sleepy time casein can aid recovery.

You might also want to consider branched chain amino acids (BCAAs) if you’re an exerciser on a P90X or INSANITY level. BCAAs appear to be the go-to amino acids for energy production in muscles during strenuous exercise. Also, a number of studies show that they inhibit muscle breakdown during intense exercise.1

Rad! So I should consume tons of those proteins all day, right?

Um, no. Unlike carbs and fat, the body has no way of storing protein. We are not protein camels. Excess amino acids are not turned into bonus muscle, nor are they “peed out,” so emulating Eric Cartman is not the way to go, even if you want to look like beefcake. If you eat more protein than you need, it’s converted into either glucose or adipose tissue (fat). In order to convert protein to glucose, it goes through a process called deamination, which produces ammonia, which is toxic to our cells, so it’s converted to a substance called urea and excreted through urine. We don’t pee out excess protein, just its stinky byproduct.

Dude, you’re still not telling me how much I need.

You’re right. I’m geeking out. The general scientific consensus is that you can use about 30 grams of protein (for amino acid functions) in one sitting. That’s about 4 ounces of meat. Of course, if you’re larger than average, that number increases.2

Over a day, you need about 0.8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. (Plenty of Internet “experts” confuse kilograms with pounds on this one. Pesky metric system. To determine your weight in kilograms, divide your weight in pounds by 2.2.) If you’re a heavy exerciser, that number climbs, peaking at 2 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, according to International Society of Sports Nutrition.

Odds are, if you exercise regularly, you’re somewhere in the middle, somewhere around 1.5 grams. If you’re injured, sick, or really broken down, eat more protein. You need raw materials to repair yourself!

Why don’t I just pile on the protein just to make sure?

Remember, the body doesn’t convert excess protein into giant muscles. And there are other issues that come up with overdoing protein for a prolonged period. This is one of the reasons we typically suggest people don’t want Xers to go past six weeks on the Phase 1 Fat Shredder.

When you eat a protein-centric diet, you’re also eating less carbs and fat, both of which tend to be the primary transports for vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and a host of other goodies. Also, going protein crazy can cause metabolic acidosis, when the body’s fluids become overly acidic.4 So a brief high-protein phase for weight loss is okay, but don’t go too far beyond a month or so. Finally, if you have existing kidney issues, a very high-protein diet can be harmful as the kidneys play a huge role in processing protein.

Protein is neither a magic muscle elixir nor a toxic kidney killer. If you’re trying to get huge, realize that those tubs of targeted amino acids will only benefit you if they’re part of a balanced diet. If you’re trying to lose weight, stop avoiding fruits and veggies because they’re “carbs” and eat less junk food (i.e., refined carbs). As is the case with most things, a good diet is all about balance.

Focus T25 Review

It’s all about time…thats what Shaun T said at this years Coach Summit in Las Vegas. I had the opportunity to hear Shaun T speak on stage and give a full T25 Review. I was able to do the workout live with Shaun in Vegas and of course I bought Focus T25 myself and brought it home to do. Let me just lead out with this. This program is absolutely amazing! 10 Minute Trainer is a great short workout by Tony Horton, and you all know that Im a big fan of Tony, but I have to say, T25 is now the leader in the category of short workouts that PACK major RESULTS! In fact I would go as far to say that Focus T25 is even going to give the longer workouts a run for their money based on the results you’ll get!

T25-ResultsWhat to Expect with Focus T25.

The first question that I get asked is; is T25 like Insanity? While Shaun T was on stage giving the full Focus T25 review he specifically made mention that T25 can’t be compared to any of his workouts, because they are all made with different purposes. I’ll agree with that to some degree. As Anna and I did Focus T25  Alpha: Total Body this morning, we did some moves that I remember doing in Insanity. But let me say this, and maybe I should have lead out with this part at the beginning. T25 is all about you. You go as hard as you want or can, and even in doing that sometimes when Shaun wants you to go at your max its at a slower pace. Shaun T really was brilliant in the creation of this workout.

These workouts are all built on progressions. So you’ll start slow and progress up to whats call the burnout. In your progressions, it seemed to me and this is also how Shaun described it…when your doing a move and you reach that point of exhaustion he switches it up and you’ll go to a move that is working another muscle group or the same muscle but in a different way. Thats what makes this workout so great! Its not like Insanity in the fact that your dog tired by the end of the 2nd warm up and still have 1 more warm up to go!

There are NO BREAKS in T25. But like I said, your not pushing to the point of exhaustion with each move. The 25 minutes really flies by. The first 10 minutes seem like 30 seconds to me, and by that point Im drenched with sweat! Once I realize that I have 15 minutes left I really start to “Focus” hence the name, Focus T25.

Check out this T25 Video Review.

Any age, any size, any level of fitness. 25 minutes! You can do it!

What’s Behind the Name Focus T25?

Well I pretty much gave it away in the last paragraph. Most people when they start working out are dreading the 50 minute to an hour workout. So they just kinda go through the motions and dilly dally around not really focused on getting the most out of their workout. Or they know that they’re already running behind and their mind is somewhere else thinking about the things they’re gonna have to catch up on from being behind on the long workout they have ahead of them. So they get half way through the workout and realize that they only have 20 to 30 minutes left and they haven’t even broken a sweat yet, or they may be exhausted, if you made it through the 3 warmups of Insanity 🙂 and didn’t push so hard in the beginning after the warm up. So then they really start to “focus” on getting the most of the last part of the workout. That was the main idea behind creating this workout. You know going into it that you only have 25 minutes and your going to have to really focus on the time you’ve got and get the most out of the workout. Its kind of a psychological play, but hey, it works!

Insanity was too Hard on my Body. Is T25 anything like that?

Easy answer! NO! Shaun T actually spends more time up moving around, demonstrating form and the modified moves. That’s completely different from any of his other workouts. If you can remember Tonya from Insanity, she actually demonstrates all the modified moves for T25 so if there is something you don’t feel comfortable doing she will guide you in the modified moves. Believe me, they are just as challenging as the original moves but a little easier on the body. Don’t think for one second that the modified move wont get you the same results either. Tonya looks great in these workouts and actually just had a baby within years time.

Some of Insanity’s moves were a little hard to do and learn in the beginning because you might be on the floor at a weird angle and can’t really see whats happening on screen. Thats why Shaun is spending more time walking the floor then working out in these videos. You can feel confident while in a move that you’re doing it correctly because he will tell you exactly what you need to be doing. In fact he’ll tell you in some parts that your head should be down and not looking at the screen. He will give you specific, easy to follow examples that you’ll have no trouble following along and doing.

Do I need Equipment to do Focus T25?

Yes and no. With the “Original Package” T25 comes with the Alpha and Beta phases. Its a 60 day workout. No equipment other that you. Maybe a resistance band, but the pack comes with one. Once you’ve completed that 60 day cycle, you have the option to get the additional T25 phase called the T25 Gamma Phase. Want to get it done better and faster? Prepare to take on the next 4 weeks of FOCUS T25. These advanced GAMMA Cycle workouts and training tools were specially designed to burn more fat, and help you carve lean, strong muscles, fast. With the Gamma workouts you’ll have the option to use dumbbells and/or resistance bands.

Overall Thoughts and Review on T25

I think this is going to be the number 1 home workout for a while. You’re going to be able to lose weight, tone up, build muscle, strength and stamina. This is your perfect all-in-one, short home workout. With practically no equipment needed for the Alpha and Beta phases, this is the perfect workout for any person of gender. Any size and any age. Any occupation! What I mean is if you travel a lot, thats ok, take it with you. You can do this workout anywhere!

If you’re in perfect shape now, I challenge you to try T25. I bet it will be a bigger challenge than you think! And if you’re only a beginner and/or never worked out a day in your life, this is still the perfect program to start out on. And at only 25 minutes, 5 days a week you should have no excuses why you can’t do this workout.

I offer a ton of support while doing this workout to help you start it and finish it! It comes with an amazing nutrition guide thats easy to follow and of course I always recommend that you drink Shakeology regardless of doing a workout or not! Your body needs it! No where else can you get a daily dose of dense nutrition other than Shakeology! Stop waiting and take control of your life! Get this amazing workout and please, please, please come back to my site and tell me how much you love it!

If your interested in being a part of an accountability group, email me before you buy, and I’ll tell you what to do to get a spot!

What is a Beachbody Coach?

So you’re wondering, What is a Beachbody Coach? If you can really make money and help people all with no prior experience in the health and fitness industry? Well Im going to really break it down for you. I’ve attached a couple of short videos for you to get a visual and Im going to hit some of the most important parts that I wanted to know about when I became a Beachbody Coach.

My Definition of a Beachbody Coach:

A person who is simply ready to get in shape and/or try new things, and make a living all at the same time. You don’t have to be in perfect shape, or for that matter be in shape at all. All you need is the willingness to want to get in better shape. There is absolutely no experience necessary to be a coach. Thats basically it! Let me explain a little more.

This was a great picture of just a few (I mean a few!) members of my team at the Coach Summit training last year.

Qualities that I look for when talking to someone about becoming a Beachbody Coach.

Here are 12 things I look for in a person considering:

  1. Wants to get in shape (or if your in shape already, wants to continue on with their fitness)
  2. Someone who wants to improve their health overall
  3. Wants to make an impact in others lives
  4. Wants to make a great, steady income working from home
  5. Someone who is ok with being told “No”
  6. Someone looking for a Business, NOT a job
  7. Is eager and willing to learn new things
  8. Enjoys People
  9. Isn’t afraid of stepping outside there comfort zone
  10. Is NOT a sales person
  11. Enthusiastic
  12. Someone who is willing to lead by example

Let me explain a little more on each number

1. Wants to get in shape (or if you’re in shape already, wants to continue on with their fitness)
Since Beachbody is a Health and fitness industry, a person should want to workout with the fitness programs that Beachbody provides. It doesn’t however mean that you have to be in perfect shape. Lots of people make the comment that “I can’t be a coach because they aren’t in shape. Who’s gonna listen me?” Thats so not what a Beachbody Coach represents. You don’t have to be in shape to become a coach. Its all about growing and learning. Its about the journey and being able to relate to people.

2. Someone who wants to improve their health overall
This goes right along with #1. You don’t have to be healthy, but you need to be looking to better yourself. Beachbody is the #1 home fitness and nutrition company. So your willingness to start leading a more healthy lifestyle is key if your considering being a Coach.

3. Wants to make an impact in others lives
One of your rolls as a Coach it to help others achieve there health and fitness goals. Now this doesn’t mean that you have to physically drive to someones house and teach them how to workout or show them what to eat. You may be learning all this stuff too. The main thing is to encourage others to make that all-imortant first step. Beachbody takes care of all the other stuff for you. P90X for example, Tony Horton is the Trainer. He walks through each move in P90X even showing modified moves for those who may not be able to do certain things in the beginning. So see, you don’t need to be a fitness expert, all you need to do is help people by using the recourse that Beachbody has given us. Also with P90X (and all the other amazing Beachbody workouts) comes a meal planner. It has step-by-step instructions on how to fix healthy meals. So once again, you don’t need to be a nutrition expert either. All that work has already been taken care of, by the real experts. All you have to do is be willing to use your recourses to help other in finding which program will work best for what they need. Also Shakeology is becoming a Household name. Its the easiest meal that you can prepare also the healthiest! There is absolutely no guesswork at all when it comes to Shakeology!

4. Wants to make a great, steady income working from home
The title really says it all. As a Coach you have the ability to work where ever you want! As a coach you earn 25% each time someone decides they want to get healthy and get in shape. Its that simple! Beachbody has made it really easy for people to do it too! As a Coach you’ll get your very own personal website that people can go to to get there favorite workout, Shakeology or they can even become a Coach also by signing up at your site!

5. Someone who is ok with being told “No”
This is just a simple fact. When you’re talking to people and try to offer a great solution to something that they’re unhappy about, sometimes you’re going to hear the word No. Not interested. No thanks! It sounds to hard! I don’t have time, and the list goes on. This is something that I like people to know upfront. Sometimes it just takes people longer to make a decision. So if someone tells you No, just say OK, and then revisit them 6-12 months down the road. You can’t take it personal. The decision to become healthy and fit is a decision that you and you alone have to make for yourself.

6. Someone looking for a Business, NOT a job
A job is something that you have to get up and do. Most of us get up out of bed, get dressed pack a lunch and head off to work from 9-5 or when ever. At your job you have responsibilities and you get told what to do each day. You answer to someone, and they set the rules. In the end you’re working to build someone else’s DREAM! If you own your own business then its something that you enjoy! Its not a job. You need to have an entrepreneurial mindset, or at least be willing to learn how to have one. You’ll set the rules, you’ll answer only to yourself. Your production and income will be based on what you put in.  And the best part is if your working for yourself then you’re building your dreams, not someone else’s! And the best part is you can work whenever and where ever you want!

7. Is eager and willing to learn new things
Becoming a business owner can be a little scary in the beginning! That’s why you have to be willing to learn. Beachbody once again has made it really easy by have tons of resources, motivational/strategy calls, video trainings and conferences all at your fingertips! If your eager and willing to learn then your gonna do great at being a Coach! As a Coach, I personally like to see what other successful people do, and follow in there footsteps.

8. Enjoys People
Lets face it, if you don’t like people then I wouldn’t recommend becoming a Coach.

9. Isn’t afraid of stepping outside there comfort zone
You’ve got to be willing to be uncomfortable at times. You’re more likely to be successful when you’re outside your comfort zone. It’s like the old saying goes, “do what you’ve always done, and get what you’ve alway got.”

10. Is NOT a sales person
I don’t sale anything. Yes people do buy stuff from me. I do make a commission when they do. But Im not a door to door salesperson. Those people don’t care. All they want is a sale. A Coach makes recommendations based on the tools we have and what the person is telling they want to accomplish. We don’t push people into buying something. We simply share what we are doing in our own lives, what’s worked for us, and the people we know and make a recommendation. Thats it!

11. Enthusiastic
You’ve got to be excited! This is an amazing company to be apart of! The facts speak for themselves! You don’t have to jump up and down and scream, but you should be excited, because Beachbody gets great results, period!

12. Someone who is willing to lead by example
This is probably the most important one of all! In fact it kind-of contains a little bit from the 11 above. If you’re serious about becoming a Coach, you’ve got to be willing to walk-the-walk! You should be working out with one of Beacbody’s programs. It doesn’t mean that you have to do the extreme workouts like P90X or Insanity. But you should be doing something! Thats how you get experience. Thats how you learn to make the recommendations. Also you need to be willing to drink Shakeology everyday! How else can you tell someone how great it is, and how its working for you if you’re not drinking it yourself. We don’t lie to people. We’re 100% honest, and thats because we use it! Personally, if that isn’t something you can commit to, I wouldn’t become a Coach until you feel like you can. It’s that important!

Oh and Beachbody isn’t some formal company that doesn’t respect their Coaches! Heres another pic with the CEO of Beachbody Carl Diakeler at summit last year. He’s a busy man, but always makes time to chat with his people!

Here are 2 videos that can give you a visual of what being a Beachbody Coach is like. Will P90X Get You Ripped?

Why do people still ask this question? Will p90x get you ripped? The simple answer is YES! It absolutely will! Why does P90X work so well? The answer: Muscle confusion, variety and nutrition. Total Package!

I was seriously thinking just the other day while driving home. Im truly in great shape. I mean fantastic shape. And Im not trying to toot my own horn. I think after all my hard work I deserve to be able to say that. I post pictures from time to time on facebook, and some of my gym rate friends even comment on my picture asking me how I get such solid abs because theres just ins’t there. While they are big, and have big muscles, and overall are in good shape, (im talking about the serious ones too) they still can’t get the abs. They’re in the gym 6 to 7 times a week and still can’t get there. Why? Again Im simply a believer in this, and it goes along with any workout. I personally think its 70% nutrition and 30% fitness. Now Im not saying they don’t eat well…let me break it down for you.

So where does P90X fit in to this?

P90X gets you ripped simply because its a total package. Like I said above, when I was driving in the car I was thinking to myself,” they really got it right with P90X!”  I do get high quality Sarms online as well because before getting ripped it’s essential that I have healthy muscles and the ability to lift heavy weights. The nutrition plan is a great guide for anyone! And yes I meant to say guide. No single person is the same. So one big book isn’t going to work for everyone. Thats what I like about the Nutritional Guide. It’s a great outline for you to start with. You can figure out what works best for you, and whats giving you the results you want. Most people just want to get in the best shape in the fasted amount of time possible. I can understand that…I once felt the same way. But once you get there, you’ve gotta start fine tuning it. Adjusting what your doing with your nutrition, adding things and taking things out so you can see where whats really working for you. And that’s where I am right now. I won’t lie. It was really hard for me to stick with the nutritional guide the first time I did P90X. I thought that’s what you had to do. And I fumbled through it. When I attended my P90X Certification class, I then found out what I just told you. The Nutritional Guide isn’t a perfect fit for everyone. You have to do what works best for you. Sometimes you may need less or even more food than what it calls for. Or you might need to substitute foods, due to variety at your grocery market. Either way, if your trying and using the guide the best you can, you’re on the right track!

How does the P90X Fitness Guide Work?

So you know about the nutrition, now whats so great about the fitness side. I hate to repeat myself, but like I said above. Tony and the creators really got it right with this one! So for my body builder friends out there, listen up.  This is a true story. Remember when I said I posted pics on Facebook occasionally? Well just recently I posted this pic. This is what one of my buddies said; “yo homie message me your current diet. Just cant get my abs quite to the point yours are. They are very close but I do zero cardio.” Now he is in great shape. He has huge arms, chest, back, shoulders and a flat stomach. He’s a gym rat. I definitely give him respect for what he’s accomplished on his own. But I think he’s under a BIG misconception. Cardio is great, but really there is only like 2 workouts that are cardio workouts for each week with P90X. Plyo and Kempo and they really work in more ways than just cardiovascular. My personal opinion is the reason you get such incredible results is the combination of move throughout each week compounded throughout the 90 days. The important thing to remember, this isn’t a quick fix. While it will get you in great shape faster than anything else I’ve ever seen, keep this in mind. It’s a journey. A lifestyle. So take it just one day at a time! Enjoy the journey and stick with it. Remember that small consistent steps overtime will compact into big changes and its much easier to do than to make 1 big change drastically.

The P90X conclusion – Will P90X help me in my daily activities?

Watch this short, but awesome video with Tony Horton, P90X creator. While I know not all of us are Fire Fighters, at least you’ll be able to see that P90X is the real deal and that you can use it to train for some of the toughest jobs or you can train like those who have the toughest jobs. Really cool video!

What Supplements Should I Take with P90X?

Just very quickly people always ask what Supplement I take. I can assure you that Shakeology is a part of my daily intake! I can’t live without it! Tony Horton’s also. I would highly recommend that you commingle it with mk677 and ingest it as a once-a-day meal replacement, or as your after workout shake. It has everything your body needs and if you have a lot of weight to loose, its gonna really be beneficial. You can find out more about Shakeology and its awesomeness here. I always recommend the P90X Challenge Pack because its less expensive. Saves you almost $80 in the end.

Fight Cancer With Fitness from Beachbody

Living with cancer is anything but easy. It is not uncommon for cancer patients to suffer from depression and overall feelings of hopelessness, one of the main reasons why they opt to take budsandblossoms products. Many forms of cancer are difficult or impossible to treat effectively. However, there are many simple ways to increase the chance of recovery and improve the mood of the patient. Physical activity is one of the best ways to deal with cancer on an individual level. Physical activity can be anything from a rigorous exercise routine to a simple walk around the neighborhood. Exercise provides a list of physical and mental benefits including enhancing the mood and strengthening the immune system. Routines like P90X, P90X2, TurboFire or Insanity would be considered more of your more strenuous workouts. If you were simply looking for something that will help you move, and move better with very little impact, Dr. Mark Cheng created Tai Cheng for such people. Moves made specifically for healing, building back strength or creating better flexibility is what this program is all about. The one thing that ties all the workouts together and still helps to the fight against cancer and/or other sickness or illnesses is Shakeology. Watch this short video to see all about how Shakeology is good for your health. Pay close attention around the 5:25 minute marker. Doctors specifically address Shakeology and cancers together.

Cancer Prevention And Exercise

Physical fitness can help patients recover from cancer, but it can also help to prevent cancer cells from forming in the first place. There is much proof that fitness directly lowers the risk of developing colon cancer ( Fitness increases strength and energy levels required for the body to defend itself. Other evidence has shown that there is a good chance that lung and prostate cancers are also linked to physical fitness. It is not hard to believe that a fit body would be better equipped to fight diseases. If you’re looking to prevent these things now, you’re at the right place. I’ll do my very best to help you find the workout and nutrition guide thats right for you. You may consider a fast as an option, too. Have you seen the Beachbody Challenge?

How A Poor Mood Can Effect Cancer

Believe it or not, the mood of a cancer patient has a very interesting effect on the turnout of their condition. People who become depressed during treatment are less likely to recover. This occurs mainly because of the effect on the immune system. The body and mind are not as separate as many people would like to believe. How we think and how we feel is connected to how we feel on a physical level. The immune system itself will weaken and may become damaged when your mood is poor. Physical fitness is the most effective way to boost energy levels and improve mood while also improving the body. If you watched the video above, you’ve seen the ingredients that are in Shakeology. Lots of those ingredients are natural mood enhancers. Believe it or not, what we put in our body whether liquid or solid, it definitely has an effect on how we feel and think.

Exercise After Diagnosis

Many types of cancer develop due to a weakness in specific regions of the body. For instance, mesothelioma ( occurs in weak tissue around the major organs. This form of cancer is very difficult to treat, but physical fitness can help strengthen the immune system and boost the mood to help overcome the disease more effectively. There have been many studies linking fitness to an increased chance of cancer survival. A steady exercise routine is one of the first treatment methods suggested for patients to practice on their own. Combined with other medical treatments, physical fitness is the best way to stay strong and positive during such trying times.

Body Beast vs Insanity

Category : Body Beast, Building Muscle, Insanity, Shakeology · (1) Comment · by Mar 27th, 2013

BodyBeast-vs-InsanityHere lately the the two HOTTEST workouts on the Beachbody market are Shaun T’s Insanity and Sagi Kalev’s Body Beast. To go along with that are popular questions comparing the two. So Im going to do a Body Beast vs Insanity break down. — I going to stick this in at the top also, (I usually put this at the bottom). If you have any comments please feel free to leave them! I love hearing your feedback and if I’ve helped you in your decision towards a workout, or you’ve gotten one from my site please share this with your social networks and/or leave a comment! — I’ve done both workouts. In fact right now Im trying to create a hybrid schedule to do both Body Beast and Insanity for a 90 day cycle. Comparing these two workouts is like comparing golf balls to base balls. Both are round, both are hit with an object, and both can travel a long distance. They sound very similar. Two completely different games though. Both workouts will leave you exhausted, sweaty, and will get you in great shape. The road to travel though is very, very different.

It’s high impact interval training. Right out of the gate it seems like your going 110 mph. I remember when I first did Insanity the warmup kicked my but. You go straight into jogging in place to jumping jacks, to mountain climbers and jumping rope (a pretend jump rope) and then you do it again a little faster, then one more time as fast as you can. Then you stretch. Then you start your workout. Don’t let that scare you though! Insanity for me improved my endurance 100%. It’s always my favorite summertime workout because in the summer most people love being outside whether its working in the yard, playing sports or just messing around with friends or the kids out in the yard. After the first time I did Insanity I remember running in my first race, ever! It was a 10K race. I didn’t even know how long a 10K was. The friend that I was running with was making fun of me, telling me they were going to beat me. Well to make a long story short I ended up beating them by almost 3 minutes. I had never felt better. My heart rate was under control, I wasn’t even out of breath. Thanks to Insanity! Theres virtually no equipment needed for this workout. All you really need is 1. water and 2. a soft surface to jump around on. You will sit on the ground also to do some of the moves, so a concrete floor isn’t the best idea for that, so a least have some sort of mat that you can sit on. Oh and have a good pare of shoes! Most all the moves you can do with in a 6′ x 6′ area and thats plenty. All the moves are pretty simple to do. But Shaun T doesn’t play around. His combination of moves keeps your heart rate up and the sweat flowing. You can check out this short video to see what you can expect from Shaun T’s Insanity.

With Insanity you will get in amazing shape. You can get 6 pack abs, toned muscles and you will eventually be able to perform your favorite activities at an athletes pace. Well at least close to that. Your body will be conditioned to handle just about any activity you throw at it. I like extreme sports, activities and mud runs. This is the perfect workout to get ready for something like that. Of course you don’t have to like any of that stuff to like Insanity. Bottom line if you just want a great workout that doesn’t involve equipment then this is your workout.

Body Beast

This is a little slower paced workout. Don’t be fooled though! This workout is jam packed with old school weight lifting techniques with some new school moves to. Sagi has been a body builder for a long time. He really knows how to help you get bigger and stronger muscles in just 90 days! The best part is he’s done it all naturally. By that I mean that Sagi hasn’t used steroids to get where he’s at. I liked doing this workout because it was completely different from any other workout that I’d done in the past few years. Its basically all weight lifting. I increased my muscle mass much more than I thought I would. There is some cardio with the Beast program. Again don’t be fooled. With all the weight that your throwing up, you’ll burn some massive calories with it. You can achieve 6 pack abs, bigger arms, lats, shoulders, chest and legs. Any muscle you can name, you’ll see some improvement in. This is strength training. Thats really it in a nut shell.

The reason I want to create a hybrid between the Body Beast and Insanity is because Im looking to achieve the muscles and have the performance of an athlete. I’m not sure that I’ll obtain the same amount of mass, but thats what Im going to do this time. With Body Beast there is equipment that you’ll need. And to go along with it, I would highly recommend the supplements to go with it. My personal opinion is, if you do Body Beast without the supplements, Its like buying a car and never putting gas in it. And using something besides twhat’s been formulated for the Beast workout is like buying a car that that requires 93 gas and you put in 87, it just doesn’t make sense. I have another post on the Equipement and Supplements if you want to read up more on it or you can check out resources from MyBodyLife if you are an intense powerlifter and are planning to upgrade your supplement intake.

Check out this short video on what the Beast is like.

What they have in Common

Really its not just with Body Beast and Insanity, it’s with all the Beachbody workouts. Its the Nutrition. Both the Beast and Insanity come with a well planned nutrition guide. Again they are both very different. Insanity is going to help you in eating things that will help you lose weight and get those toned muscles. Body Beast also has a healthy guide, but its food is more focused on helping you get the required calories to get the muscle mass.

Something to consider with both workouts, is Shakeology. Its just smart nutrition.

So which workout is it going to be for you? The easiest and most economical way to get these workouts is with a Challenge Pack. The Challenge pack has all you need in it. With the Beast you get the workouts, the nutrition plan and all the supplements. See Eiyo if you haven’t chosen the natural supplements that suit you best. With Insanity, you get the workout, the nutrition guide and Shakeology. Of course if you just want the workouts you can get that too.

Get the Body Beast Challenge Pack. Get the Insanity Challenge Pack. (The Challenge Pack is the best bang for the buck).

Get Body Beast, get Insanity (workouts only).

You can alway get free account with me.

Body Beast Video Review of Supplements & Equipment

As promised, here is a Body Beast Review of the Supplements and Equipment. See what you can use and what you shouldn’t skip out on. Gain muscle mass with body beast!

I did a post previously reviewing the Body Beast supplements and the equipment that you would need to do the Body Beast workout, but I wanted to go a little further and really show you a visual of what you need and why it’s important not to skip out on some of the equipment. I also quickly run through the Body Beast “Book of the Beast”, both the schedule for the Lean Beast workout and the Huge Beast workout. I did however forget to mention the Workout Sheets! When you start the Beast workout you must, must have the workout sheets that go along with it and if you wish to know about good supplements which can help you achieve the Beast body quickly, you can check out the healthy body website, which I personally use for my physique. It’s so important to track your results so that when you do the workout again the following week, you’ll know what you did before, and what you need to improve on. Download your Body Beast workout sheets here. Again I did do a detailed post of this so some of the information is just repeated in the video, but I sometimes find it easier to relate to something better when I can actually see it. Anyway check out this video, its about 12 minutes, which seems long, but I actually think all the information I went through kinda fast. If there is any one topic you would like for me to post on, please leave me a comment below, and I’ll be glad to post on that next.
